I think I was lucky on ds#1 because I had him trained day time first in 3 days, form hearing other stories some mothers are experiencing months upon months of training.

I did start 3 times with ds, but kinda of knew when he was ready so it was easier once they are ready, I did day time training first then left a nappy on a night, he was always dry but I left it on until he started pulling off the nappy during the night, 2 nights I found the nappy at the end of the bed lol so I took them off altogether, that would have been about 2 weeks after he was day time trained.

I do hear such horror stories that I’m getting nervous with this ds, it’ll be a while till he’s trained but it another worry. I think alot of stress is more that trainer’s lol the kids are great.

DS2 has developmental delay and will be 4 in June. I had no intention of toilet training him until the at least this Summer but in the past week he has ben yelling "Wee wee coming" and there's a big dash to the loo! He is so proud of himself when he actually does a wee in the loo. Sometimes he just says it for attention and stands there straining like mad and just farts lol  DD and DS1 both trained very quickly but this litle guy is going to be different. Also he has been waking at ight...which he hasn't done for a long time...I guess he is more aware of his bodily functions now so when he wets his nappy he wakes up.I'm dying to buy him a potty!

I day trained DD over 6 months ago. Still haven't night trained her as she's almost always wet in the morning, am going to wait until she goes a few nights in a row dry and then try her without the pull up.

Am no expert in this area but DS was TT just recently. I didn't have any intention doing it until he was 3 (next month) but he prompted me one morning saying MOM quick WEE coming take my nappy off..... so feck had to start the job. HATE IT...

Same happened after a week of training during day, he flat out would not wear him nappy going to bed. Mostly he has been fantastic but I would not be quick to train at night unless nappy was dry for a week or so (more maybe).

Just my thoughts.
