On ds #1 I had EVERYTHING, I ended up having to sign a form to release more drugs to me as I had reached the legal limit, noting was taking effect, the epi numbed my feet lol   he was forceps delivered after 18 hours.

On ds#2 I had nothing, he was born prem in an ambulance in about half an hour or just under, he came out with the waters in one go lol (((brilliant labour)))

Just gas and air. I had a strange labour started having contractions on a tuesday mild every 2-3 hrs, woke up wednesday and thought i had wet the bed but was my waters leaking, went into hospital on thurs morn waters still leaking, was on antibiotics, waters broke fully on thurs night, having mild sporadic contractions the whole time, friday night I was having strong frequent contractions, was examined at about 6.30 on Sat morning and I was one cm :( pain really took off then :D was examined again at 7.30 and was 3cm so went up to the labour ward, I was begging for the epi as the pain was soooo bad ,I couldnt take much more they said they had to put the tracer on before they could give epi but didnt even have time I was 10 cm by 7.55 :o ds was out an hour later, only had the gas and air, it was a grand birth by all accounts :D hope the next one in aug is as good, I dread getting an episiotomy :|

Gas and air on them all. Love that stuff, I used up all the ambulance crews gas when I gave birth at home accidentally and we weren't there long and then last time I was devastated when they took it off me for the second twin  They gave it back for the afterbirth though. They were all quick labours, hopefully this next one will be as uneventful.

i forgot i got a 3rd degree tear as baby was in the OP position, and that was more painful to recover from than my emergency section

eugh, I had an emergency classical section, it was very shocking but actually very easy, i didnt have time to panic. I went off for a scan and suddenly all hell broke loose, apparently I was 7cm dilated and they wanted to know why I didnt tell them I was having contractions  I didnt have any :? Anyway in the heel of the reel of things I was only 24 weeks preg, ds was breach and they said he wouldnt survive a natural birth. I apparently told the doc he could cut my head off if he had to but my child better survive birth. I think I must have been in complete shock and I was in the hospital on my own. When they gave me the epi it put me on a high and I was telling very innapporiate jokes to the staff  I actually went to school with one of the nursing staff who assisted in ds's birth and when ever I meet her she tells me the staff still ask after me and ds

I was like petal on dd1 had OP baby and long labour with epi, pethidine the lot. Finally brought to theatre to deliver with forceps and ventouse, hemrrage(excuse sp) and then 4th degree tear that i still have problems with... Then got PTSD from it all...

On dd2 got planned c section and it was easy peasy recovery and overall wonderful experience compare to dd1
