Hi Dee,

Thanks for your reply. Sorry to hear of your losses as well. Great to hear things worked out for you in the end. I have pcos as well , have been on metformin for a good few years now. Also have been diagnosed with a blood clotting problem. Have been with a clinc, then on to napro for 2 yrs and in Jan we started attending S*ms where we were told ICSI was our only option. So we started that but things had to be abandoned and we're just taking some time out for the minute. So its been a long road and at this stage could really do with something going our way. What meds were you on?

Hi Lily
I have also had recurrent miscarriages but I did go on to have my DD through iui :)
I had endometriosis and just wasn't ovulating regularly. I was on clomid when I became pregnant and subsequently miscarried. We were also trying for a number of years for our baby and time was not on my side
Keep trying though, it is so worth all the waiting, heartache and stress!!!!

sorry for your losses, I too have had mc and know how hard it is. I have endometriosis too and was told when I was 19 that I would be unlikely to get pregnant naturally. But at 19 what do you do eh?? Then I met my partner at 21 and one year later (shock horror)got pregnant lost baby at 19 weeks, few months on lost baby at 7 weeks then I just stopped trying, couldn't cope with it tbh. But then I fell pregnant again, boy was that a surprise and I was on tenderhooks the whole time but 9 months later my ds was born. Started trying for no.2 as soon as we could had 2 more mc in a matter of months but then got pregnant again and had my lil girl 6 weeks ago. I don't seem have any problem getting pregnant like the doctors said but I have some problem with the carrying of babies but as I have now carried 2 to full term the doctors are dragging their heels in referring me on. I have been told that some people are just unlucky and that its just one of those things.
Its so heartbreaking but its so worth it when I see my lil ones. sorry for my irrelevant ramblings.
But hang in there, don't give up hope. every day there are stories of people who have there lil miracle babies after years of trying.

Hi girls,

Thanx so much for your replies, really going through a hard time with it all at the minute. Hi Gollygosh, sorry to hear of your losses. Must have been very hard to go through. Congrats on your little girl :D
Hi Mom2one, sorry to hear of your losses as well. Great to hear IUI worked out for you. We didn't get to do IUI, I suppose we've been doing TSI mainly for the past few years and dr said time to move on and bring in the big guns. Hi Dee, would love to come off glucophage cause it cause me awful stomach upsets but I know I'm better to be on it and hopefully improve my egg quality a bit.

Thanx Dee, I found S*ms to be really good and there's no problem getting meds unlike another clinic I was with. So hopefully when we decide to go bck to the treatment things will have a different outcome this time round.

I normally dont post on these boards but..

I am not TTC, I have had 4 miscarrys..my first was in March 06 at 11 weeks, 2nd at 9 weeks and 3rd in 07 at 10 weeks in 08 and finally I had my last in summer of 08 at 10 weeks..I was told in January 08 that we would never be able to have children the natural way and I include IVF, ICSI, ICI, Napro etc in this..My advise is that dont be put off my this crap that you need to have had 3 miscarrys in order to get help..I spent 2 years with a gynae who put me on clomid at one point even tho I was ovulating..then I went to SIMS and I found them good, but very expensive, I spent thousands with them..but they were very pro active, which was excellent, then I went to live in the States and thats were I found out the answer..5 years after I had started to TTC and 4 miscarrys later...It is still very very very very ad infinitum raw, it has changed me from the person I used to be to the person I was before counting days, checking for ewcm, bd'ing etc..all those words were so familiar to me and now they are so unfamiliar.

My advise is that dont give up hope, get all the tests done (some of the tests they dont do in Ireland..) and try and relax, eat plenty of fresh pineapple to help the sticky stick and buy your pg tests in bulk and good luck :)

Thanks Iris. So sorry to hear of your losses, you've been through an awful lot. Do you mind me asking, have you given up treatment now & did you find out a cause for the m/c's? I am with si*s and I know pcos and the blood clotting is my problem. I got autoimmune tests done and they came back fine. Dh had dna frag done . that was fine but his SA showed up some problems which is why they suggested ICSI. We went for our first icsi cycle in march but I overstimmed and had a fair bit of fluid build up so it was abandoned altogether. I was devastasted to be honest and its taken from then till now to feel ok bout going back at it again. I have to say I will never forget coming off all the steroids and meds as long as I live.
The furthest I got in the 3 pregnancies was nearly 10 wks, we even got to see the heartbeat with that preg but unfortunatley it wasn't to be. So I still live in hope our day will come, I have to otherwise I'll crack up!!!

Hey Lily, yeah, we are no longer TTC hence we are not on any treatment..we did indeed find out the reason for the m/c, I won't go into it on here if you don't mind. I don't talk about it. I think the blood clotting is fairly common, I had that problem aswell, I am trying to remember what I was on..I think it was cyclogest, they are long progesterone pesseries, I used to be an expert on all the meds..are you taking your folic aswell?? I was on Clomid but I never got PG on it..at one point I was taking 6 times the normal dose of Folic Acid!! and I felt like a pin cushion..I was always in a constant state of disappointment..I'm sure you have felt the same..I really hope that your next course of treatment works out for you. :D

Thats fine Iris no problem at all. Yeah just taking folic acid now and tabs for pcos.I was on clomid before and never again, side effects are terrible. M/C twice on it as well. Other than that I'm not on anything else at the minute. The constant disappointment is just unbearable at times but I have to keep going. I would love to just say ok enough is enough and not feel anything but thats not going to happen. Its just very unfair when you know you'd make brilliant parents. Anyways here's hoping all my praying pays off really soon.!
